Kudzai Chiridza,
Tennis Professional

Kudzai Chiridza, hails from Zimbabwe Africa. Like so many tennis pros he took up tennis at a very young age, six to be precise and got serious about it at the age of eleven, that's when he won his first tournament. After many other tournament wins, Kudzai got the call every young tennis player in the world dreams of, the opportunity to represent his country with the ITF (International Tennis Federation) Junior National Team of Zimbabwe Africa. While on the National Team he played all over the world and his tennis just got better and better playing on a world stage.
After having a very successful Juniors career in the ITF, Kudzai caught the eye of a number of colleges to play Division I Tennis before settling on Prairie View A&M with a full Division I scholarship. Prairie View’s confidence in the young man was not misplaced as Kudzai went on to play Line 1 Singles and Line 1 Doubles. He won Freshman of the year 2004, was instrumental in the team winning the NCAA SWAC Tennis Championship Title in 2005, which by the way was the first time Prairie View had gotten a bid to the Big Dance in over 36 years, MVP 2006 and 1st Team All-Conference in the SWAC in 2007. In short, a phenomenal college tennis career. When he graduated, Kudzai was offered the coveted Tennis Graduate Assistant position at Prairie View.
Following graduation and coaching on the college level, Kudzai took his vast college tennis experience, knowledge, love of the game and applied that to teaching the next generation of tennis players in Houston. Over the years Kudzai has coached and been on staff at a number of tennis facilities and academies in the area. With his strong ITF Juniors ties along with his D-I college experience, Kudzai knows what it takes first hand to be an elite player in today's competitive tennis environment, and has communicated that formula to his students for over 10 years.
