LAKEWOOD RESIDENTS' CLUB NEWS
Sunday Sept. 26 at 3pm
Come out and learn about the fastest-growing sport in the USA. Pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping pong and is played with solid paddles and a perforated ball.
Nets, paddles, balls, water and snacks will be provided. You don’t need to bring a partner. The clinic will cover the basics of pickleball and allow participants to try it. Non-LRC members are welcome. The clinic will start at 3:00 pm and is limited to 12 players. If there is enough interest, we will schedule a second clinic for that Sunday afternoon. Anyone interested in the clinic please email Shannon at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know that you plan to attend.
Fall Tennis has Started!
Tennis is a great way to get some exercise and make new friends.
You can play for fun or join one of our tennis teams.
The fall tennis league season has started. It is not too late to join a team as a player or sub. Teams play weekly matches and the season ends around Thanksgiving. We have men’s and women’s tennis teams for every skill level. The men's teams play Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. The women's teams play Monday evenings, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings depending on the league. If you're interested in joining a tennis team, you just need to be a year-round club member, be available one of those times, and have your own tennis racquet.
Year-round membership includes everyone in your household and starts now and ends April 30, 2022, so it includes both the fall and spring tennis league seasons. New members receive a 25% discount off the regular membership dues. So that is $337 for a NEW year-round membership. You can register and pay online by clicking on JOIN LRC.
